How long does it take for them to find out the results to my diabetes test?
I took a diabetes test 2 weeks ago last friday 16 days i haven't gotten a call nor have we called them my dad is stubborn howmany days around should it take to find out? if it helps i got it at around... 12 10? PM thanks

hi...I got diagnoised with P.C.O.S last year i was told that atleast 50 % of suffers have diabetes.recently i have noticed ive been binging for sugar and eating sweet thing's in excess.After i have eaten drank i will get very tired feel dehydrated and lightheaded,blurred vision and feel very bolated i was wondering wiether it would be worth me getting a test and if these are any of the symptoms

Is it ok to eat sweets before gestational diabetes testing?
We had a bake sale for work today and all the leftovers are here and are VERY tempting I'm supposed to get tested for gestational diabetes in the morning. Will eating sweets the night before affect the results of my test?Sorry I should have added this. I'm at no known risk of diabetes. It's just a thing they check for. I just hardly eat sweets and seeing them while being pregnant is making me want them I just didn't want to make the test inaccurate since I hardly eat sweets.My test came back negative. That night I had a piece of white cake with whipped white frosting, a brownie topped with powdered sugar, chocolate chip ice cream, and 2 glasses of orange juice and 2 glasses of water. Gestational Diabetes Test?
Ok I went to the Dr. today I did the 1 hour gestational diabetes test today and I fail it horribly. So I go back next Wed. for the three hour test but I think am going to fail that one too. So what happens after that if I do fail the test.
My 4yrs blood work to for her liver & diabetes, test showed high functioning liver, what does this mean?
My 4yr old daughter had to have some blood work done because of some symptoms she has been dealing with for quite sometime now. Her daughter ran blood work to see if she had diabetes, did a full blood count, check her thyroid and her liver. The test showed everything looked ok, except for the blood work they did on her liver. It came back high functioning liver. What does this mean or could it mean? The nurse that called me on the phone, said that's all she could tell me & that the doctor would like to see my daughter and I in his office on Oct. 2nd, to go over things further with me. I was anger that the nurse called me on the phone to tell me this and then nothing more. Now I have to worry til the 2nd of Oct. to find out more. My daughter has been experiencing the following things for the past 6 months or longer. 1. Frequent urination2. Sudden urges to go to the bathroom and not making it in time3. Sometimes she doesn't ever feel she has to pee, until she has already started to trickle in her pants. Then she gets up and runs to the bathroom.4. She says she is always hungry, but when I make her something to eat she only can seem to eat a few bites before feeling full or having pain in her stomach.5. She is ALWAYS thirsty She can never quench her thirst. 6. She complains of stomach pain everyday, but she says its not bad enough that she has to cry, its just uncomfortable. 7. She seems to not be able to tolerate different foods, like spaghetti or soda which I do not allow her to drink a lot of, maybe 2x's a month, she might get a cup of soda, if we are out to eat She seems to burp up a lot of her food. When she is going about her day, I will see that she has something in her mouth and when I ask her what it is, she says its food that came back up out her throat. Sounds like acid reflux to me. 8. Her doctor is concerned about her weight. She is tall for her age he said, but is only in the 25 % for her weight. He had me start her on pedi sure. 9. Seems to get tired out easily and quickly. 10. Asks to be carried a lot.11. Has low iron When she drinks juicey juice or pineapple juice it goes straight through her. I am not kidding you when, I say she has to pee, almost admittedly after she drinks it and then she pees atleast 4 times in a 15 mins time period. She has been checked for bladder infections, UTI's. She was seen by a Urelogist, the Urologist said, she has an over active bladder and it doesnt empty all the way when she goes to the bathroom. She goes back in Dec. for an ultrasound and further testing. The Urologistt put her on a medication to help so she does have to go to the bathroom so much but isnt working at all. What else could it be? What does a high functioning liver mean in a child? I am scared But, I want the answers. I dont understand why the nurse couldnt give me more detail.

ok so heres the dealim a 22 year old female. im not overweight. I dont really excercise as much as I should but I work a job on my feet. I have had quite a bit of muscle soreness and random muscle pulling and knots on my body for a little over a year now. as well as foot soreness becuase i have flat feet.I am ALWAYS thirsty and I drink alot of water. I probably dont drink anything more than 6 or 7 16 oz bottles of water a day but still. i find myself to always be thirsty and I pee ALOT.last summer i had a strange ear infection that wasnt quite going away. so my doctor sent me to be tested for diabetes. the only test I had taken was the fasting glucose test. the results came back fine. no diabetes were detectedhowever. here i am. a year later and i still always feel thirsty all the time. ive been feeling thirsty all the time for YEARS NOW. i can drink a bottle of water and still be thirsty rite after. my mouth gets dry very easily and i always need water. sometimets ill start to feel sick if i dont have any water to drink.diabetes doesnt run in my family. so thats a good thinghowever ive read online that the fasting glucose test isnt always the best way to detect diabetes. and that taking a glucose tolerance test as well would be better at detecting it. im just worrying that i still have diabetes even tho the fasting test came back as negative and i realy want to take the glucose tolerance test just to be totally sure. would my primary care doctor have to refer me to take the test? or would i have to go to an endocrinologist?
